Richard Tawil: A Legacy of Elegance
Since childhood, drawing has always been my passion. I used to sketch my female classmates, imagining them in fancy dresses and stylish hats. This early love for design foreshadowed my future as a fashion designer. My journey began at the Michel-Ange Design Academy in Beirut, where I honed my style and expanded my knowledge.
With eight years of experience at a prominent tailor’s fashion house, I launched my own atelier in 1995 at St. Rock Center’s Hazmieh, Lebanon. Collaborating closely with a skilled team of tailors and embroiderers, I brought my visions to life.
In 1999, I held my first fashion show at the Coral Beach Hotel in Beirut, a resounding success that marked the beginning of many more. The new millennium saw my designs showcased internationally, starting with a spectacular show at the Sheraton Hotel in Kuwait.
By 2000, “Richard Tawil” had become synonymous with high fashion in
Lebanon, prompting the opening of my first boutique at Galleria2000 in Kuwait. I frequently travel to Kuwait to stay close to my clients, ensuring their requirements are met with innovative, tailor-made styles.
My career reached new heights in 2002 with the “Mrs. Butterfly” fashion show at the Metropolitan Hotel in Beirut, attracting audiences from across the Arab world. Continuous innovation led me to conduct photographic seasonal fashion sessions to keep my website updated and cater to a global clientele.
In March 2007, I launched the “Red Carpet for Celebrities’ Collection” at BIEL, Beirut, dedicated to stars, artists, and the elite. My work combines fabrics like satin, silk, tulle, and lace, embroidered with gold and silver crystals, creating a distinguished style.
Standing at the threshold of my fashion career, I aim for the sky, aspiring to contribute to the expression of the sublime beauty of God’s creation: women.
